I was a little worried the geometric base might look too industrial, but those four vertical wood slabs give it a surprisingly clean, modern silhouette. The matte taupe surface is smooth to the touch and really softens the look in my living room.

The warm taupe finish is even nicer in person—it picks up the light in a way that makes the matte surface feel almost velvety. I was worried the geometric base might look too busy with my other furniture, but it actually anchors the room perfectly.

The four vertical slabs lock together at perfect right angles, so it doesn’t wobble even on my uneven floorboards. I keep catching myself running a hand over that smooth, matte taupe surface—it’s oddly calming next to my dark sofa.
