Japanse pierisboom

The new leaves on this Pieris emerged such a vivid, coppery red—just the pop of color my shade garden needed. Even before the tiny white flower clusters opened, the foliage alone made it worth every penny. It seems perfectly happy with just some morning sun and weekly water.

The cascading white flowers are even more delicate in person than in the photos, and the foliage has a lovely reddish tint as it emerges. It arrived well-rooted and has settled into my garden without any fuss.

I’ve had my Japanese Pieris for a few months now and the foliage alone is worth it—those deep green leaves with red tips really stand out in my garden. It’s been thriving with minimal care, which is exactly what I needed. Only wish the blossoms lasted a bit longer, but overall a solid addition.
